World Cup Safety & Alcohol Control |
||
|
With the upcoming World Cup fixtures, we expect increased footfall across Enfield, particularly in town centres, licensed premises, and public viewing areas. We are working alongside partners to ensure everyone can enjoy the tournament safely. Residents and visitors are reminded that Enfield operates a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in designated areas. This gives police and authorised officers the power to require individuals to stop drinking alcohol in the street. Failure to comply may result in enforcement action, including fines or seizure of alcohol. We encourage everyone to: Our priority is to keep communities safe while allowing people to enjoy the celebrations. Officers will be patrolling key locations throughout match days to provide reassurance and respond to incidents. If you need assistance, speak to a local officer or contact us via 101 (or 999 in an emergency). Stay safe, look out for each other, and enjoy the football. | ||
